Be a Student

Hei hei, I’m still alive and healthy. I took me really a while to find the motivation and time to continue my blog.

resaon of my motivation & time ^^

Nevertheless, I want to tell you about my live and experience in Trondheim and have good place to remember my time later. Nothing really special happened at the beginning of the week. I had lectures and did my laundry. After this week, I decided to drop out of a class and finish this semester with three courses each 7.5 credits. I try to get my daily life started with cooking, exercising, friends and uni.

Lecture Starts

Wow this post took me quite a while. I think I'm more than a month behind...
After the orientation week, of course the lectures start. We all had to find out which lectures we want to take and of course could take. First you need the knowledge, then it has to fit in your timetable and finally the exam dates have to work out. This took more than a week because I also had to apply to one course specially with a video and so on but after a while I had my lectures and I’m satisfied with them. Every student knows at the beginning of a semester you have to organize a lot especially if you start at a new university. My first week of lectures was actually not that packed with them just with a lot of other stuff to do. Of course, meeting friends was an issue too ;)
The Nidarosdom was open for the students and we could have a look around.

Official Orientation Week

Now we got to the real Orientation Week. They planned a program for the whole week, with a lot of information and fun activities. Begin is always a official welcome and some information.

At the afternoon, we had the "Trondheim Games". It was a bunch of challenges and questions to know the city and Norway better.
We had to hug Norwegians :D

On the second day it was just information meetings. Which were kind of useless, because we had all the information already in a checklist. Wednesday was a disaster, they had to cancel the activity planed for the afternoon because of too much rain. The Matriculation ceremony was totally wet, I didn't go.

I only got lunch...

Lucky us we got good hiking weather the day after. All international students went in different groups to different hikes to see the nature. It is a pretty good idea, only we had to decide before without any idea were the hike goes. I selected on of the difficult ones, the Cooper Valley. The way was good, just we went already to some of the places...

Our hike and lots of others ended at Lian Lake, I met some friends from the week before and of course we went swimming.

it was a bit cold

Friday was full, we had information meetings, BBQ and big party.

On Saturday we had two choices, either Quiz Night or Movie Night. I selected the first option and was a lot of fun.
The ending of the Orientation Week was a Match from Rosenborg Trondheim.

After the orientation week, the Uni starts. We did a lot, had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time. Lucky me I had just two lectures in the first week. Still the week wasn't boring ;)
Cheers

Pre-Orientation Week

Finally, I can keep you updated about my first week in Trondheim. It was great.
After I got my key and everything I was in my room at 1 pm. The whole weekend I was lazy, just stayed in bed, watched Netflix and ate.

My first plans were to leave Trondheim as fast as possible again to see other parts of Norway. Yeah, well as you will see may plans changes. I stayed in Trondheim and met a lot of people already. We watched Game of Thrones together, went on hikes and we just get to know Trondheim and Norway.

We organized a small hike to a lake due Facebook. Of course, we had to take a swim.

Nobody had any plans for the evening, so we cooked together an enjoyed our time.

We eat some salat too ;)
Looks happy with the omelet
We organized an even bigger hike for Friday with around 35 people. Because we couldn't get everyone on the same page we split up. I did the big hike with 15 people. We walked around 30km at that day, to see a few lakes and the awesome nature around Trondheim.
